Direct Flame was approached by the clients at Bechtel, to advise the best possible solution for either repair existing boiler or full replacement. Direct Flame consulted with clients and explored all avenues and offered solutions to meet their budget and business welfare needs, ensuring full compliance was met. Due to existing boiler being over 20 years of age, manufactures confirmed parts were obsolete and no longer supported.
Direct Flame heating engineers offered a full replacement and successfully carried out full commercial boiler replacement at Bechtel. This included all associated plant that consists of flues, gas and water pipe work replacement and modifications, pumps, valves, electrics and insulation.
Since the installation of the commercial boiler, the clients at Bechtel have reported annual energy savings of 14%.
CLIENT - MoJ
Heating System Installation
Direct Flame engaged with the MoJ (Ministry of Justice) as one of their critical sites had no heating throughout their courts.
Direct Flame investigated the issue and found the primary pumps had been inoperable for quite some time. It also found that the burner on the boiler had not been operating, causing further issues with the heating system and the supply of hot water.
Due to the urgent nature of the works, Direct Flame offered full replacement, as the primary pumps were beyond economical repair, as well as the burner which the manufacturers confirmed they no longer supported. Patch plate was made to suit the existing boiler to have the burner installed. Once all installed the heating system was re-energised and full heating and hot water supplies were reinstated.
The MoJ was extremely pleased with the professionalism and conduct of Direct Flame and are engaging with the FM team for FMR works across the MoJ portfolio.
CLIENT - NHS
Domestic Boiler Install
Direct Flame was asked to attend a NHS site to investigate on-going issues with domestic boilers.
It was clear from the off-set that the domestic boilers and all associated plant were beyond economical repair and full replacement was required.
Direct Flame installed new flues, gas and water pipe work with electrical modifications. This included taking into account ventilation of the boiler room and ensuring full compliance was met.
The client was delighted with the installation and NHS representatives on site praised Direct Flame on how quickly and efficiently the project was completed - 7 days from survey to completion.
